A Bit of Magic Blog Tour- Rebecca Mikkelson

on Thursday, May 24, 2018

Welcome to my stop on the A Bit of Magic blog tour. My special guest of honor is Rebecca Mikkelson!

Rebecca Mikkelson has been writing fantasy stories since her early teens for fun and is thrilled to turn her dream into a reality. She currently lives in Hawaii with her husband of six years where they enjoy not going outside and avoiding the scare ball in the sky. In her spare time, she likes to cross stitch to relax.

Rebecca Mikkelson is Chief of Business Development at Authors 4 Authors Publishing - a publishing company run by authors, for authors, blending the best of traditional and independent publishing.

Rebecca, I’m so excited to hear about your story, especially since this is your first publication. Let’s get right to it.

Of Legend and Lore Blog Tour- Elise Edmonds

on Monday, March 12, 2018

Welcome back to the Of Legend and Lore blog tour! It's time to meet another JL author. I've hosted this author before, so you may remember her. Give a warm welcome to Elise Edmonds!

Elise Edmonds is a writer from the South-West UK. Reading and writing have always been her doorways into another world—a way to escape and spend time walking with wizards, flying with fairies and dealing with dragons. By day she is a finance professional, and in her spare time she pursues writing as a creative outlet, to put the magic back into everyday life. In addition to reading, Elise enjoys watching movies, playing the piano, and going to Zumba classes. Her greatest loves are God, her husband, her family and friends, and her two beautiful cats.

Elise’s Young Adult Fantasy novel, Where Carpets Fly, is available on Amazon.

The Aeonians: Blog Tour with J. E. Klimov

on Sunday, October 8, 2017
Today we have a very special guest! Meet J. E. Klimov!

Ever since J.E. Klimov was little, she dreamed of sharing her stories with the world. From scribbling plotlines instead of taking notes in school, to bringing her characters to life through sketches, J.E. Klimov’s ideas ranged from fantasy to thriller fiction. Her first publication was a short story, The Guardian’s Secret, in “From the Stories of Old”─ an anthology of fairy-tale retellings. “The Aeonians” is her debut novel with Silver Leaf Books.

A- Welcome! First, tell us a little bit about you.

Random Interview with H. L. Burke!

on Thursday, June 15, 2017
Welcome to the Coiled blog tour: a collection of posts celebrating the release of the new YA Mythological Romance from Uncommon Universes Press and author, H. L. Burke. Via this link you will find interviews, informational and entertaining posts about the story behind the story, and of course, sneks.

For the past few months, H. L. Burke has been running random interviews on her blog. But this time, I get to turn the tide on her and now it is her turn to answer her own questions. Muahaha!!!!

But first, we have to find out about H. L. Burke's new book! It's called Coiled, and "it's like Princess Bride, Beauty and the Beast, and Greek mythology had a baby!"

From the Stories of Old...An Interview with Renée Harvey

on Monday, November 21, 2016
Hello everyone! Remember how I announced that my writing group was putting together an anthology of fairy tale retellings for publication? Well, it's almost available! And because I'm so excited about it, I invited a special guest, one of my close friends, to share a bit about her piece that is going to be included in the anthology. So without further ado, please welcome Renée Harvey!!!

Renée Harvey is a wife and mother, historian, and writer in Idaho, USA. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in history in 2013, filled with a love of genealogy and pre 1400 a.d. history. Combining those passions, she now primarily tells the stories of little-known people who lived long before. It is her hope that readers will see beyond the cultural differences to the messages conveyed: that individuals matter, and that every person has the ability to choose for themselves the good they will contribute to their world.

A- Welcome Renée!

R- Hi, Allie! Thanks for inviting me.

A- Alright, let's get right to it. What inspired your retelling of The Little Mermaid for the anthology?

Last Disneyland Trip of the Summer

on Monday, August 29, 2016
Summer is officially over for us, but we did get one final day to enjoy it. That's right, one last Disneyland trip. Our third wedding anniversary was last week, so we used that as our excuse.

I know I've talked before about how much I love Disney and how it helps with my creativity and writing. Believing in the impossible is fun, but actually experiencing it is indescribable.

Blog World Tour

on Monday, June 13, 2016
I've got some exciting news! *trumpets sound* Starting next month, I'm participating in a series of author interviews that will run through the next 12 months!
Here's how it works- Every month I have a new guest on my blog, and every month I will appear as a guest on someone else's blog. We have a huge group that is all participating, and it's divided up by genre. So everyone I'm interviewing writes fantasy.

Some of the authors I know, others I don't. I'm excited to see what happens! The interviews will be posted on my blog on the first Monday of every month, starting July 4th. See you then!

Interviews

on Wednesday, October 21, 2015
I've been interviewed again, this time by Jasmine Walt. Here's a little bit about her before you read more about me-

I’m a devourer of books, chocolate, and all things martial arts. Somehow, those three things melded together in my head and transformed into a desire to write. Usually fantastical stuff, with a healthy dose of action and romance. My characters are a little (okay, a lot) on the snarky side, and they swear, but they mean well. Even the villains sometimes.

When I’m not working on my next book… well, honestly there’s not much else I do aside from writing because I ghostwrite as my day job. But when I’m not chained to my keyboard you can find me trying not to impale myself working on my dao sword form, raiding my dad’s pantry spending time with my family, or binge-watching Bones on Netflix.

Jasmine and I connected on Scribophile where she was looking for writers to interview for her blog. Previously she interviewed Ashley Capes
Back to me, here's a link to my interview where we discuss dealing with Hypergraphia and writing Powerful
